The quiz takes its lead name from the Limca Book of Records (LBR) as the book highlights the outstanding achievements of Indians across the globe and has also become a source of inspiration for the country’s youth.
The initiative has been launched in partnership with `Know & Grow Derek' and involves participation of children from class 8 to 12. The quiz is being organized in three stages - inter school, semifinals and national finals from April to December.
Quizmaster Jason Pote said, "The students in Goa are extremely worldly wise and aware of things beyond their academics." He also expressed his love for Goa and its people, while heaping praises on the students.
Pote advised students interested in quiz competitions to become fans of DEAN, i.e. dictionaries, encyclopedias, atlas and newspapers.
